Free services available to help keep the vulnerable warm

Have your say

FREE services are available to help vulnerable people keep warm this winter.

The Department of Health has set aside £500,000 to help Lincolnshire residents who are suffering from ill health.

The Responders to Warmth scheme offers services from free cavity wall insulation through to providing salt and sand to prevent falls in icy weather.

The scheme can also offer energy advice, emergency fuel supplies, emergency food hampers, repairs, heating upgrades, blankets and transport to medical appointments.

Recipients must have a severe illness or be at risk from the cold and have a combined household income of £23,5000 with cash savings of less than £13,000.
