A commissioning group has been given the green light to provide health services to Lincolnshire residents.

South Lincolnshire Clinical Commissioning Group has been awarded full responsibility for planning and buying health services in the Stamford and Bourne area.

The commissioning group took part in a rigorous scrutiny exercise back in March set by NHS England, which took control of the £95bn NHS commissioning budget on April 1.

The group passed the exercise and its application to provide services to the south of the county has now been fully approved.

Group chairman Dr Miles Langdon said: “We are delighted to be recognised by NHS England for our performance and ability to invest in high quality health services for local people.”
