No GPs expected to strike in Rutland tomorrow but Lincolnshire doctors may strike

Have your say

A GP strike which will take place across the country tomorrow (Thursday) will not affect surgeries in Rutland.

NHS Leicestershire and Rutland has said that as far as it is aware no GPs are striking in the county.

NHS Lincolnshire said it will not know until tomorrow who is striking as GPs do not have to disclose whether they are taking action.

The dispute is over GP pensions.

All surgeries will be open regardless and emergency treatments will not be affected.

A Lincolnshire NHS spokesman said there may be some disruption to regular appointments.
