People are being given the chance to say thank you to the NHS staff who go the extra mile to provide top quality care across the county.
The national NHS Heroes programme, relaunched this month, is aimed at honouring the individuals and teams who go the extra mile to improve life for patients in hospitals, clinics and community care.
It is a chance for patients, their families and the NHS community to nominate and celebrate the staff members and teams who show exceptional compassion, kindness and skill above and beyond the call of everyday duty – giving healthcare at its very best.
A spokesman for NHS Heroes said: “The overall theme of NHS Heroes is one of celebration. NHS staff do amazing things every day – it is their job to save lives and care for people through the most difficult times, and that mission is the same whether they are working on the front line or behind the scenes.”
People in Lincolnshire and Rutland are being urged to nominate their local NHS staff for an award and national recognition by logging on to www.nhsheroes.com
NHS Heroes gives everyone the chance to acknowledge NHS staff. Patients, their friends and families, work colleagues and professional peers can nominate their personal NHS heroes and celebrate their achievements on a national stage.
