PETERBOROUGH City Hospital patients and visitors will be able to enjoy artwork created by Roald Dahl illustrator Quentin Blake and other artists.
The Paintings In Hospitals charity is loaning 20 pictures to the Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals NHS Trust for at least two years.
The charity uses artwork to reduce sickness, anxiety and stress in UK healthcare facilities.
Janet Bates, its regional co-ordinator says: “People often don’t realise that photos and paintings help create environments that improve health and wellbeing.
“The emotive feelings that can come from an exhibition help enhance healthcare experience for patients, their families and staff.”
The costs involved are £1,800, which will come from the trust’s art charitable fund.
