A £3.8m hospital redevelopment scheme is one step away from being approved.

Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals Trust’s board gave the green light to the plans to breathe new life into Stamford Hospital yesterday (Tuesday).

The business case will now go before the trust’s council of governors for final approval on Wednesday, October 9.

The scheme to redevelop part of the Stamford Hospital site and find a partner to run the rest was put on hold for several months while health watchdog Monitor investigated the trust.
