A road was underwater for 20 minutes after a flash flood.
Reader David Wood, 61, sent in the above picture of Elizabeth Way, Uppingham, after heavy rainfall at about 2.15pm on Monday.
The downpour lasted about 15 minutes.
Mr Wood said: “My rain gauge in the garden showed one inch of rain fell in that brief moment.
“The storm drains couldn’t cope and the road surface was lifted 18 inches.
“What is normally a children’s playground turned into a mini torrent for 20 minutes.
“The road is in need of repair.”
