High Sheriff of Rutland cancels 'Camino' trip to Spain in favour of promotional walk around county
The new High Sheriff of Rutland hasn’t had much luck since taking on the ancient role representing the Queen in his county.
First of all the Covid-19 outbreak meant Richard Cole’s declaration ceremony in March had to take place in a windy car park rather than Norman great hall of Oakham Castle.
And now a planned walk along the coast of northern Spain with pal Nick Clarke next week has had to be scrapped due to a spike in virus cases in the country.
