The High Sheriff of Rutland, Andrew Brown, took up the invitation of a ward walk from Adam Lowe and Joyce Lucas.

The two town councillors accompanied the High Sherriff around the ward for over an hour and showed him the locations of the Community Hub in Princess Avenue, Royce’s Recreational Ground and the scout and guide headquarters.

Coun Lowe said: “The opportunity to walk the ward with the High Sheriff was very useful.

“Andrew was genuinely interested in the area on this cold Saturday morning and even imparted some of his knowledge on our trees and grounds maintenance.”
