High Sheriffs of Rutland gather

PAST, present and future High Sheriffs of Rutland gathered at a special sitting of the High Court in London presided over by the Lord Chief Justice, Lord Judge.

Air Commodore Miles Williamson-Noble of Pickworth was officially named High Sheriff in Nomination for Rutland for 2014.

The county’s current High Sheriff, Peter Lawson, was selected to give a vote of thanks to the assembled judiciary on behalf of all the High Sheriffs in England and Wales.

Mr Lawson attended the ceremony in court dress and was accompanied by his predecessor, Sarah Forsyth, Air Commodore Williamson-Noble and the other Rutland High Sheriffs in Nomination, Bart Hellyer (2012) and Patricia Ruddle (2013).
