Stamford-based company Wright Care at Home marks fifth anniversary

While many anniversaries include a fancy party and popping a bottle of champagne, the team at Wright Care at Home celebrated in a way they know best - continuing to serve the community.

The Stamford-based company marked its 'fifth birthday' on Sunday last week (April 25) but due to the pandemic no official celebration could be held.

However, founder, Samantha Wright, took the time to thank her employees. She said: "I'm just so proud of my team. I like them to have the recognition as without them this wouldn't be my job."

The home care company was set up in 2016 by Samantha, her dad Simon Wright, who passed away two years ago, and step-mum Margie.

It has since grown from a team of five to almost 30 people, as well as now offering service in Bourne as well as Stamford.

"Our ethos is always to be a small company that just provides a high standard of care and we've never stepped away from that.

"We do everything we can to support other charities and customers."

Wright Care at Home was also awarded Team of the Year at Mercury Business Awards 2020.

"I think it's scary when you set up a business as you are trusting your instincts and knowing you can absolutely deliver what you set out to do," said Samantha.

"I expected by the five years we would have a stand alone office and supporting a wider area which we are absolutely doing."
