Annington Homes donates funds to Wittering Primary School for Chromebooks

A homes provider has stepped in to help pupils at Wittering Primary School who are learning from home.

Annington Homes, which converts former Ministry of Defence housing including a range of properties in Wittering, has donated £500 to the primary school.

The funds were then used by the school to purchase a range of Chromebooks to aid pupils with their studies.

Rhys Thrower, headteacher at Wittering Primary School, said: “It is very important that our children have access to a range of online resources, especially given the current Covid-19 situation.

“Thanks to Annington’s donation we are a step closer to providing these Chromebooks for all of our pupils that need them.”

Due to lockdown, the majority of pupils across the county are having to learn from home, which means access to technology has become crucial.

Louise Saunders, sales and marketing manager for Annington Homes, said: “Supporting the education of children at local schools is an important way in which we can give back to local communities.

“We hope this donation helps Wittering Primary School to provide a range of online resources for their pupils in these difficult times.”
