How many people are furloughed in Stamford, Rutland, Bourne and the Deepings? Government figures released
More than 20,000 people are currently signed up to the government's furlough scheme, new figures reveal.
Statistics released by HM Revenue and Customs show there are 4,300 people in Rutland who are receiving 80 per cent of their full pay from the taxpayer while carrying out no work for their employer.
In South Kesteven, which includes Stamford, Bourne, the Deepings and Grantham, the number on the scheme is 16,800.
