Battle of Britain bust appears on doorstep in Oakham




The hunt is on to find the owner of a Battle of Britain statue which appeared on a doorstep in Oakham.

The statue was left on a doorstep in Barlow Road, Oakham, but it doesn't belong to the baffled homeowner.

Their appeal to find the owner was shared this morning (Sunday, April 11) by the Rural Crime Rutland Facebook group.

So far the post has been shared nearly 200 times but no-one has come forward to claim it as their own.

Rural Crime Rutland was set up independently of the police to help with minor crimes and raise awareness of rural crime.

Leicestershire Police force is among those to have shared the appeal to find the owner of the statue.
