Rutland optician urges people to seek help if they have eye complaints




An eye care specialist is urging people to seek advice from opticians in order to avoid unnecessary visits to hospitals and GP surgeries.

James Alexander, director of Simmons Optometrists in Oakham said many people have been unaware that opticians have been open throughout the lockdown.

"At the moment, opticians are there to stop people with emergencies from having to go to hospital," he said.
