Improvements made after ‘inadequate’ Ofsted judgment at Langtoft Preschool
Langtoft Preschool has assured parents it has carried out recommendations from education inspectors Ofsted.
Last month Ofsted said the Manor Close-based group had inadequate management, and had not fully supported the development, behaviour and welfare of children.
Its report said it was unable to carry out checks on a pre-school committee member because it hadn’t been notified about them. Ofsted also recommended staff update their ‘Prevent’ training, which help guard against extremist ideas.
However, the inspection rated the school as ‘good’ for the quality of its teaching and learning.
Manager Claire Chadwick told the Mercury ‘Prevent’ training was now completed by staff.
