Latest coronavirus figures for South Kesteven and Rutland

The Covid-19 infection rate in South Kesteven and Rutland is above the national average, but no new deaths have been recorded in nearly two weeks.

A total of 86 people in South Kesteven have tested positive for the the virus in the past week, with the seven-day infection rate standing at 75.8 per 100,000 compared with 39 nationally.

In Rutland, 18 new cases have been recorded, bringing the total of people who have tested positive throughout the pandemic to 1,642.


No further deaths have been recorded in South Kesteven since March 25 or in Rutland since March 24.

The figures, which were released by Public Health England yesterday, do not include anyone who caught the virus and self-diagnosed.
