The Covid-19 infection rate in Rutland is four times higher than this time last week.

In Rutland, the total number of people who have tested positive for the virus has increased from 1,704 on Tuesday last week (June 15) to 1,730 yesterday (June 22).

The seven-day infection rate for Rutland is 52.6 per 100,000 people, compared with 12.5 last week.


The national average currently stands at 93.7, up from the low 20s a month ago.

The number of deaths within 28 days of a positive Covid-19 test remains at 65.
