Police inspector for Stamford, Bourne and the Deepings issues warning ahead of sunny bank holiday weekend

Following weeks of gloomy weather, the forecast for this bank holiday weekend is looking positive.

The Met Office predicts that the sun will be shining with highs on Monday of 21°C.

With the pleasant weather it is expected many people will make the most of the long weekend with visits to pubs or gatherings outside.

Inspector for policing in Stamford, Bourne and the Deepings, Gary Stewart, is reminding people to act responsibly.

He said: “Please behave yourselves and be responsible. If there’s any anti-social behaviour we will be taking alcohol off people, whether that is juveniles or adults, using the public space protection order in Stamford.

“We have better things to do with our time than engage with people’s everyday lives, so please act responsibly.

“Thank you for being behaved on previous weekends - that’s what we want to see.”

To report anti-social behaviour call 101.
