A young girl who organised a fun day helped raise £174 for Children with Cancer.

Amie Barker-Ford, 12, organised the event which took place at Trinity Methodist Church on Saturday, October 17. Amie, from Ketton and a pupil at Casterton College, lost her grandfather to cancer and wanted to help a charity in his memory.

During the day there were cakes sold, quizzes, games and a raffle.

Amie’s proud mum, Sara who is pictured above with helper Clive Marshall, thanked everyone who supported the event but in particular Clive, Sharon Reilly and Mrs Webb.

Sara added: “Amie really worked hard to achieve this and was involved in every aspect.”
