Forbidden Forest at Grimsthorpe Castle in September 2019 passes 'peacefully'




An ‘intimate underground music festival’ held at a historic castle 'passed peacefully' according to the police.

The Forbidden Forest Festival was held at Grimsthorpe Castle for the second time on Saturday (September 7) and 7,000 revellers attended.

Inspector Rachel Blackwell, neighbourhood policing inspector for Stamford, Bourne and the Deepings, said: "It was a very well attended event.

"There was some minor damage in the area reported by local residents but given the significant number of festival-goers, the event passed peacefully.

"We didn't have to go onto the site."
