An action group challenging proposals for 140 new homes in a village say investment is needed before any more development can go ahead.

David Wilson Homes wants to build 80 homes, while Peterborough-based housing association Cross Keys Homes has earmarked 60, both on land between Broad Wheel Road and West Street.

The combined total is almost double the 82 homes laid down for Helpston in the Local Plan which is expected to be passed in the coming weeks.
