Investigations into cause of house fire in Bourne, in which a woman died, so far 'inconclusive'




Investigations into the cause of a house fire in which a woman died have so far failed to find a cause.

A woman in her 50s was taken to hospital following the blaze at the property in Recreation Road, Bourne, on Friday night, but she sadly died.

Lincolnshire Police and Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue are carrying out a joint investigation but this morning (Monday), Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue said investigations over the weekend had proved "inconclusive".

Fire and rescue said the blaze had caused severe damage to the ground floor.

Firefighters from Bourne, Spalding, Market Deeping and Corby Glen were all called and the rescue unit from Grantham also attended.
