Jenni Murray will host talk at Bourne Grammar on November 11

A NEWSPAPER columnist, radio presenter and author will host a talk at Bourne Grammar School tonight.

Jenni Murray OBE, was born in Barnsley in 1950, only four years after Woman’s Hour first came on the air.

She spent many years listening to the programme with her mother and after starting her career as a local radio presenter in Bristol, she went on to become one of its stars in 1987.

Jenni was made an OBE for her services to broadcasting in 1999. She is also the author of The Woman’s Hour: A History of Women Since World War II, Is It Me or Is It Hot In Here: A Modern Woman’s Guide to the Menopause and That’s My Boy! A Guide for Parents.

She was also a weekly columnist for The Daily Express from 1998 to 2000 and now writes for various newspapers and magazines including The Daily Mail. With such a varied and busy career behind her, Jenni’s talk is sure to keep her audience entertained.
