Households in Bourne and the Deepings can join a garden waste collection service for the area used by more than 27,000 people last year.

South Kesteven District Council wants people to register and save money in time for the spring and summer gardening season.

By joining the scheme, you can avoid tiresome trips to the rubbish tip and the job of cleaning your car after carrying bags of garden waste in it.

Membership of the scheme even means that you can change your address within the district and still enjoy the service.

oun Nick Craft, the council’s executive member for the environment, said: “Our ever popular garden waste collection service is easier than ever to join and if you register or renew the service by direct debit, you’ll even get a discount.”
