Groups from across the Stamford area gathered over the weekend to plant 2,000 trees at Lower Braceborough Wood.

Among those taking part were the 2nd Stamford Scouts, The Cyclists of Stamford, Market Deeping firefighters, as well as Tommy Plummer Tree Services from Empingham, and Deepings landscapers, Branch Brothers.

The aim was to "establish and maintain a natural native woodland to support wildlife and the environment for the enjoyment of all”.
