A COFFEE morning was held to raise funds for the Queen’s diamond jubilee celebrations in Bourne.
More than £100 was raised from the event at Abbey Church Hall on Saturday.
The money will be help pay for an ABBA tribute to perform as part of the celebrations to mark the occasion.
Town and district councillor Helen Powell (Ind) said: “The weather was damp and it was very cold but we got a nice small crowd. It was very successful.
“I was really pleased and grateful for everyone that was able to support us.
“There were a couple of gateaux left over so I donated them to nursing homes in Bourne. As well as tea and coffee, we also had fruit cakes, biscuits and cookies.”
Coun Powell needs to raise £300 more to cover costs.
