The 18th Maxey Classic Car and Bike Show returns for 2019
One of the most popular regional shows will be held on Saturday, August 10.
Now in its 18th year, Maxey Classic Car and Bike Show will take place at the picturesque lakeside venue in the village.
The event promises to attract a large entry of two and four-wheel vehicles, offering a great day out for all the family.
There will be live music from Paul Lake and the jazz band Herbie Lamb Quartet, real ale bar, barbecue and children’s amusements.
Once again, the difficult job of judging the winners will be handled by national motoring journalists.
Established in 2001, the event has become increasingly well-known over the years and continues to attract more than 350 vehicles, including a wide range of classics, modern Ferraris, kit cars and 4x4s and the classic motorcycle class which is becoming more popular each year.
Organised by the Maxey Charity Club, all the profits from the show will be donated to local good causes. In 2018 the amount raised was £3,000. The club’s motto is: “If you drive it or ride it and you love it, come along and show it”.
There is no need to book your vehicle in, just turn up on the day. Everyone is welcome.
The show opens to the public at 11am and the judging will take place between 1pm and 3.30pm. Admission is £5 and free for exhibitors and children under 14 years.
