Shoppers are being reminded of Christmas Eve Markets in Bourne and Stamford and this year as a last minute chance to buy festive gifts and produce from traders.

On December 24, Bourne’s normal Thursday market will take place at the Corn Exchange car park and Stamford will host its event on Broad Street.

All markets will run from 8am to 2pm with localised road closures in place in Stamford with Broad Street closed from 4am until 4pm.

Portfolio holder for arts, leisure and culture Linda Wootten said: “This will be an extra opportunity for shoppers and we’ll assess the market’s impact as to whether the events become a more permanent fixture in our calendar.”
