Rutland Community Agents who aim to help people in Rutland have a better quality of life, had their official launch event at the Victoria Hall in Oakham on June 18.
The service, which is run by Spire Homes in partnership with the Rural Community Council for Leicestershire & Rutland, is funded by Rutland County Council and the Big Lottery Fund and supports the development of health and social care in the county.
The launch was attended by the Community Agent partners Age UK, CAB, Homestraight and The Bridge along with local councillors, support services and members of the public.
Head of support services at Spire Homes, Amy Callaway said:“It is fantastic that we are able to offer this service to the people of Rutland so that we can make a difference to their health and well-being.”
