Follow the journey from fleece to jumper at Sacrewell Farm's fun sheep shearing event this weekend.

The age-old skill of shearing has been passed down from generation to generation and Ross Priddle will give demonstrations of his expertise at 11am, 1pm and 3pm on Saturday, May 16 and Sunday May 17

Visitors can find out what happens after the sheep has been shorn; listen to talks by The Wool Room in Stamford on the history of wool and why it is still an essential resource today; watch demonstrations of spinning by Sandra Ayres; guess the weight of a fleece and take part in themed activities.

Sacrewell Farm is open from 9.30am to 5pm every day and admission is free for children under two years. Visit Sacrewell.org.uk.
