Hands-on apple tree workshops in Ketton on Saturday




Apple tree grafting and pruning workshops will be held at Brewery House, High Street, Ketton, on Saturday, February 8.

Learn how to graft fruit trees with local experts who will lead this two-hour workshop designed for the novice propagator. In this hands-on workshop you will graft and take home a low-maintenance fruit tree that can produce fruit organically without harmful spraying.

The grafting workshop runs from 10am to 12.30pm and costs £20 including a tree.

Learn how trees grow, the best tools to use, how to use them safely and where and when to start in the pruning workshop from 1.30pm to 4pm. The cost is £15.

The two workshops combine the basic theories of grafting and pruning and will be followed practical demonstrations with plenty of hands on practice. Tea and coffee will be provided.
