Pre-schoolers at Scallywags Day Nursery, Oakham enjoyed French lessons this week with Helen, local French tutor from Fun French for Kids before heading off to school in September.

Helen specializes in teaching French to very young children using puppets, songs, books and games.

She visits Scallywags Day Nursery every Monday morning and says, “Experts agree that the earlier a child starts to learn another language the better…”.

“Most primary schools now teach French so this is great preparation for them. They have so much fun and effortlessly pick it up” adds Caroline Garnett-Clarke, manager of Scallywags Day Nursery.

Helen also teaches French on Mondays at The Walnut Tree Day Nursery, Stamford.
