LeisureSK took over leisure centres in Stamford, Bourne and the Deepings on same day it had to close them

A new company set up by the district council to run the area’s leisure centres was forced to close them on the same day it took over.

LeisureSK Ltd, South Kesteven District Council’s new leisure company, took over the running of fitness centres in Stamford, Bourne and the Deepings, as well as Grantham, on December 31.

But that was the same day the area went into tier 4 ahead of this week’s national lockdown being announced, meaning they had to close immediately.
