High Sheriff joins Rutland Santa Fun Run

Rutland's High Sheriff Margaret Miles is pulling on her running shoes to support the county's Santa fun run.

The event takes place on Saturday, December 14, and is set to attract more than 100 runners all dressed in Santa suits.

People can run for their own good cause, or to support Rutland Rotary's local and international charities.

Rotary Club of Rutland president Clive Sherwood said: “The High Sheriff has been tremendous in supporting the things Rotary does this year and we are very grateful to her.

"I will be running myself this year, but I think she may beat me!

"Hopefully I will be hidden among the throng of other runners.

We want Rutland to have its own fun run for good causes and we are looking forward to a successful event.

"The Lord Lieutenant Dr Sarah Furness is also backing us, and it should be a fun day.”
