Toolbar, the small local charity, that helps unemployed people in Bourne and the surrounding area, has received a grant of £650 from the Lincolnshire County Council Big Society Fund, through Sue Woolley.

Coun Woolley (Con), who represents Bourne Abbey, said: “I am delighted to be able to support Toolbar in their work with unemployed people, helping them to get back into employment.”

Lead volunteer at Toolbar Roy McKinney said: “We are extremely grateful to have Sue’s support. It enables us to continue not only to help people with their job search, but also to provide a place where they can meet and discuss issues with volunteers and other clients, in a friendly welcoming atmosphere.”

Toolbar meets every Monday (excluding Bank Holidays) at the Bourne Snooker Centre, in Cherry Holt Road, Bourne, from 10.30am to midday. To find out more e-mail toolbar.bourne@gmail.com.
