Lincolnshire Police and Crime Commissioner Alan Hardwick will visit Stamford to talk about crime concerns.

The commissioner will join the Stamford neighbourhood policing team in Broad Street tomorrow (Friday).

Police community support officers Marlow Bramich and Emma Conkey will be at one of the market stalls to offer crime prevention advice and Canines on Patrol information packs. These packs contain information for dog owners, such as keeping safe whilst walking the dog, and also explain the initiative.

This is a new initiative aimed at dog owners to actively encourage them to help the police by reporting any suspicious vehicles or people, reporting any property that looks insecure and reporting neighbours that may not have been seen for a while. The idea is that dog walkers are often the people likely to notice anything unusual or out of place.

The initiative is a plea for them to be vigilant and to encourage them to assist the police in reporting anything suspicious via a number of means, all of which are contained within the information packs.

The two PCSOs will be in Broad Street from 9am to 3pm. Mr Hardwick will join them from 10am to midday.
