Rutland's director of public health Mike Sandys believes lockdown has come at the right time for the county as rising case numbers meant it was heading for tier 4




Rutland was heading towards tier 4 restrictions before the third national lockdown was announced this week.

The county was placed into tier 3 at the most recent government review, but the rising number of coronavirus cases meant it was on course for tougher measures.

Rutland’s director of public health, Mike Sandys, said the lockdown has once again come at the right time for the county.
