Rutland logistics firm hold series of apprentice interviews

Logistics firm CS Ellis has held a series of interviews among its staff to find out what life is like as an apprentice.

The South Luffenham-based business has employed many apprentices in its 80-plus years of trading and was keen to discover the thoughts of recent recruits.

The first interview featured former Leicestershire apprentice of the year nominee, James Cook, who joined on an accountancy apprenticeship and has gone on to earn the AAT level 3 qualification.

“After doing my GCSEs and then A-Levels, there didn’t seem to be many options as with what to do next," said James who opted against taking the well-trodden path to university.

“I see this as a job for life. You see it all around you here; people have been here a long time."
