Fineshade Wood has added an extra attraction for the summer

A photography exhibition opens at Fineshade Wood this weekend.

Fifty photographs will be displayed on a trail running through the woodland.

The exhibition runs in partnership with the Royal Geographical Society and follows a competition based on the themes of people, places, nature and changing forests.

Its aim is to stimulate conversations about the world and its inhabitants.

Spokesman Sarah Walker, the Forestry England manager for Fineshade Wood, said: “We’re really pleased to be hosting this exhibition outside in the forest throughout the summer so that local people can see these thought-provoking images for themselves, as often exhibitions like this are limited to formal galleries in London."

The exhibition runs from Saturday, July 6 until September 4.
