Lorry fire on A1 at Wansford

A lorry caught fire on the A1 at Wansford in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday).

One crew from Stanground, one crew from Yaxley and two crews from Stamford in Lincolnshire were called to the blaze on the A1 southbound near Wansford.

Firefighters arrived to find a 40ft lorry trailer well alight.

The crews returned to their stations by 5am.
