See tractors during Sacrewell Farm's Big Machinery Weekend




Climb aboard big machines, commandeer a pirate ship or explore where no man has gone before, at Sacrewell Farmthis February.

The farm’s popular Big Machinery Weekend is back on Saturday, February 1 and Sunday, February 2, with an array of farm vehicles from vintage tractors to state-of-the-art combines to view, climb aboard and explore.

Young engineers will be able to sit on mega machines, pose for photos and see them in action with ploughing demonstrations throughout the weekend. Normal farm admission applies.

Pirates will sail into Sacrewell for February half-term and visitors are encouraged to dress up as pirates and jump aboard the pirate ship that will be land-locked in the Small Animal Village. On site, buried treasure will be unearthed as savvy swashbucklers follow clues around the farm while real pirates will be hidden aboard the pirate ship ready to put on a show.Half-Term Pirate Week will run from Saturday, February 15 to Sunday, February 23.

Normal farm admission applies.

Peterborough Astronomical Society will make a welcome return for a Star Party on Saturday, February 29 from 5.30pm to 8.30pm.

Explorers of all ages will have the opportunity to gaze into the unknown through a range of telescopes and take a tour of the universe using apps and technology that is available for all to use, meaning you can continue to explore on your very own smartphone.
