Runner in Stamford Striders' St Valentine's Day 30k road race will support WWF Australia appeal

Scenes of devastation in the wake of the Australian bushfires have inspired a woman’s fundraising to help stricken koalas and other native wildlife.

Louise Norris will run Stamford Striders' St Valentine’s Day 30k race on February 16, and through sponsorship hopes to support the Australia appeal launched by WWF, formerly known as World Wildlife Fund and the World Wide Fund For Nature.

Louise, 35, who lives in Rutland Road, Stamford, said the WWF Australia appeal will help provide urgent care for injured wildlife, restore homes for koalas and plant trees that are needed for koala habitats.
