Macmillan Cancer Support bus to stop in Bourne
Macmillan Cancer Support’s mobile service is stopping off at Bourne Market in Abbey Road on Thursday next week.
A team of information and support specialists will be on board from 9am to 3pm to offer free, confidential information and support to anyone with questions or worries about cancer, for themselves or anyone they know.
Caroline Wright, a Macmillan information and support specialist on the unit, said: “It’s really important that people living with cancer are able to access the advice and support they are entitled to, including financial support so they can focus on what’s most important: their health.”
As well as giving vital support the team will also be letting people know how they can support Macmillan to reach and improve the lives of more people living with cancer by getting involved in The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, Macmillan’s biggest charity fundraising event taking place on September 25.
Caroline added: “This year our World’s Biggest Coffee Morning celebrates its 25th year and it continues to be a huge success. Last year it raised a record £25m, that’s more than double the amount raised just three years ago.”
