This follows an incident on the Stamford Meadows at the weekend, which involved two people, including a police officer, getting assaulted.

Police inspector for Stamford, Bourne and The Deepings, Gary Stewart, said: "People know how they act when they are drunk.

"If you become aggressive when you drink, then don't drink. If you behave in a way where you assault people, then don't drink."
