Man arrested after graffiti appears on businesses and property around Stamford town centre




A teenager has been arrested after graffiti appeared on businesses and property around Stamford town centre yesterday (September 4).

Graffiti appeared at various places including a BT box on Bath Row, the side door of the Stamford Post Wetherspoon pub on Castle Dyke and Project One on Belton Street.

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police said: " We received a report of criminal damage at a businesses in St John's Street.

"This was reported to us at about 7.27pm on September 4.

"A 19 year old man was later arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and remains in custody where he will be questioned in due course."

Anyone with any information should call Lincolnshire Police on 101 and quote incident 481 of September 4.
