Man hit by train at Stamford Railway Station

A man was hit by a train at Stamford Railway Station this morning (January 2).

British Transport Police and paramedics were called to the station at around 8.40am after receiving a report the man was hit by the train and pronounced him dead at the scene.

Inquiries are ongoing to identify the man’s family.

The death is not being treated as suspicious by police.
