Man who stole charity collection box from Rutland pharmacy is sentenced in court




A man has received a suspended prison sentence after stealing a charity collection box from a pharmacy and alcohol from a supermarket.

Craig Wallace, 41, of Westfield Avenue in Oakham, appeared at Lincoln Magistrates' Court on Thursday last week (January 2) having pleaded guilty to the offences.

For stealing the charity box from the Rutland Late Night Pharmacy in High Street, Oakham, on October 25 he received a 12-week prison sentence suspended for two years and was ordered to pay compensation of £122.

For stealing alcohol from Sainsbury's in Stamford on December 9 he received a 12-week prison sentence suspended for two years to run concurrently with the other sentence.
