Marianne Rawlins, from Stamford, is looking forward to taking part in BBC One's The Apprentice with Lord Sugar and vying for a £250,000 investment from the business guru

An American who now calls Stamford her home is taking part in a hit BBC television programme.

Marianne Rawlins, 36, is vying for a £250,000 investment in an original business idea from Lord Sugar in The Apprentice.

She is the owner of a risk management consultancy and originally from Orange County in southern California but moved to Stamford in 2017.
