Market Deeping Community Primary School pupils watch chicks hatch and grow

Children at Market Deeping Community Primary School have been watching chicks hatch and grow.

As part of their topic about ‘growing’ the Reception children have had an incubator and 15 eggs from the Happy Chick Company in school. It has not just been the younger children that are keenly observing their progress as Year 6 pupils have been keen not to miss out on the fun.

The chicks are living and growing in the library and a webcam is providing a live feed to their comings and goings. Once they have grown too big for their pens in school they will go off to welcoming homes and free range

farming.
